
The summer school and doctoral symposium aim to provide an immersive learning experience at the intersection of human behavior and artificial intelligence by bringing together students, researchers, and professionals to explore innovative approaches to designing ethical, transparent, and impactful AI systems. Through a rich program of keynote lectures, interactive workshops, hands-on sessions, and panel discussions, the event will foster collaboration, spark creative research, and equip participants with the practical skills needed to address real-world challenges in AI—ranging from scientific workflows and data visualization to decision-making and sustainability.

Day 3: Excursion to the Slovenian Seaside (Wednesday, September 24 )
On Wednesday, September 24, participants will embark on an excursion to the Slovenian seaside. The day will start early with a bus trip to Izola for a guided tour, followed by lunch by the Adriatic Sea. In the afternoon, there will be a visit of Piran, which will include a discussion on the role of AI in promoting sustainability within coastal ecosystems. After some free exploration in Piran, the day will end with a return journey to Ljubljana. 150 EUR per participant.
Day 4: AI and Decision-Making (Thursday, September 25 )
Circular Decision-Making in Nature and AI : 09:00–10:30

Extended Abstract: Participants are required to upload a 1000-word extended abstract detailing their research work.
Curriculum Vitae (CV): A current CV must also be submitted along with the abstract.
