 On Wednesday, September 24, participants will embark on an excursion to the Slovenian seaside. The day will start early with a bus trip to Izola for a guided tour, followed by lunch by the Adriatic Sea. In the afternoon, there will be a visit of Piran, which will include a discussion on the role of AI in promoting sustainability within coastal ecosystems. After some free exploration in Piran, the day will end with a return journey to Ljubljana. 150 EUR per participant.

Participation is   **FREE OF CHARGE**. Coffee breaks are covered.
Please note that lunch is self-organized. If you wish to join the optional sightseeing trip, a fee of 150 EUR applies.

Extended Abstract: Participants are required to upload a 1000-word extended abstract detailing their research work. 

Curriculum Vitae (CV): A current CV must also be submitted along with the abstract.

Applications for the Summer School are open. Please note the following cut-off dates for submitting your application:

  • June 20, 2025 — Early consideration deadline

  • July 10, 2025 — Standard application deadline

  • August 25, 2025 — Final deadline (subject to availability of places)

We recommend applying early, as participation is limited and places will be allocated on a rolling basis.
